Agri Beef Co. specializes in the procurement, management, and marketing of fed cattle. It set itself apart by becoming the most innovative, customer-driven feeding company in the US, and built the company around efficient administration and cutting-edge information systems.
Agri Beef has also acquired an animal pharmaceutical distributor, MWI Veterinary Supply. MWI is fast becoming the largest veterinary supplier in the US. Agri Beef has built a feed supplement plant - PerforMix Nutrition Systems - in Nampa, Idaho, to manufacture high-quality liquid supplements for cattle. They have recently built plants in Moses Lake, Washington and Garden City, Kansas.
Agri Beef is supported by a central IT staff with teams that develop applications related to Internet, Plex, and legacy AS400 applications. Each team reports to the V.P. of Information Systems. System development is done with a variety of tools including Computer Associates' Advantage Plex, Microsoft tools, and AS400 RPG.
